If you are an overseas resident and are planning to marry an Australian citizen, in Australia, you may qualify for a Fiancée Visa. When you have downloaded the Notice of Intended Marriage, complete both pages and then have your signature witnessed by an Australian Consulate Official. You will also need to enclose certified copies of both your Birth Certificates or Passports.
If you have previously been married, you must also include a certified copy of the final dissolution of marriage certificate or a death certificate, whichever is appropriate. An official at the Australian Embassy or Consulate will certify them for you.
